MAYSO Magic is now NXT Florida.
The competitive soccer tier has a new name and badge. The nonprofit behind it, the home fields and the Manatee County pathway stay rooted in MAYSO.

This is a competitive-program rebrand, not a replacement of MAYSO. Rec soccer remains MAYSO. Club soccer becomes NXT Florida.
Why the name is changing
MAYSO has always had two jobs: give Manatee County families a local place to play, and give players who want more a real pathway to keep growing.
The MAYSO Magic name carried the competitive tier for years. NXT Florida makes that tier easier to understand. A parent can now see the difference immediately: MAYSO is the community soccer foundation; NXT Florida is the tryout-based competitive lane for players ready for the next level of commitment.
The important part is what does not change. MAYSO remains the nonprofit. Recreational soccer remains MAYSO. The player pathway still starts at the same park, in the same county, with the same purpose: more kids playing, more families connected and a clear next step for the players who ask for it.

What this means.
Is MAYSO going away?
No. MAYSO remains the nonprofit club and rec soccer stays MAYSO. The NXT Florida name applies to the competitive soccer tier formerly known as MAYSO Magic.
Does this affect recreational soccer?
No. Recreational soccer keeps the MAYSO name, open-registration model and community-first structure. Rec families do not need to do anything because of the rebrand.
Are the fields changing?
No field change is being announced here. NXT Florida remains rooted at GT Bray Park in Bradenton.
When will tryout and team details be posted?
Tryout dates, age groups and season details will publish once confirmed. The site will not guess or backfill unverified dates.
