Still MAYSO underneath
The competitive program remains part of the same community 501(c)(3) that has served Manatee County since 1976.
Competitive soccer · Bradenton, Florida
MAYSO Magic is becoming NXT Florida: the competitive tier for players who are ready for more, still rooted in the same Manatee County nonprofit.
Recreational soccer stays MAYSO. Competitive soccer becomes NXT Florida. That split matters because families should always know which experience they are choosing.
Rec is open-registration, community-first soccer. NXT Florida is the tryout-based pathway for players ready for a higher training and competition commitment. Both sit inside the same nonprofit club ecosystem.
What changes
Same nonprofit
The competitive program remains part of the same community 501(c)(3) that has served Manatee County since 1976.
Same home fields
The pathway starts where Bradenton families already know the club: at GT Bray Park, connected to the rec program below it.
New badge
The NXT Florida name separates the tryout-based competitive tier from MAYSO recreational soccer without replacing the MAYSO identity.
The pathway
Most players begin in MAYSO rec, learning the game in balanced teams at the same park.
When a player wants a tryout-based environment, NXT Florida is the next rung rather than a jump to an unfamiliar club.
Families keep the same nonprofit foundation while the player moves into the NXT competitive badge.
Tryout updates
Tryout dates, age groups and season fees are still being confirmed. Add your email and MAYSO will send the details when they are ready to publish.

The rebrand applies to the competitive tier. MAYSO rec soccer keeps the MAYSO name, the community-first model and the same open-registration pathway for families across Manatee County.
