Flag Football
Same park, same club, different sport.
Flag football runs in the spring under the NXT FB badge. It is non-contact, fast, and it welcomes kids who have never played organised football before — which is most of them.
For families already at GT Bray on a Saturday, it is a second sport without a second commute, a second club or a second set of parents to get to know.
What’s included
- Non-contact flag format
- Team jersey and flags
- Spring season at GT Bray Park
- Open to boys and girls
Questions
What parents ask
Is flag football safe?
Flag football is non-contact. Plays end when a defender pulls a flag from the ball carrier's belt, so there is no tackling and no blocking. It is the reason many families choose flag over tackle at this age.
Does my child need football experience?
No. Most players arrive having never played organised football. Coaches teach the rules and positions from the first practice.
Can my child play flag football and soccer?
Yes, and many do. Flag football runs in the spring and is scheduled at the same park, so families can usually manage both.
Already playing flag? Rec soccer runs three seasons a year at the same park.
